WCPCCS is one of the most influential international congresses in pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery. This year’s congress brought together pediatric cardiologists, surgeons and researchers from around the world to discuss the diagnosis, interventional and surgical treatment of congenital heart disease, basic and translational research, and long-term follow-up.

During the congress, lab members actively took part in scientific sessions and panel discussions, presenting the lab’s research progress in pediatric cardiovascular disease and exchanging ideas with international peers on joint research, data sharing and talent development — laying a solid foundation for deeper cross-border collaboration.

The Xijing International Forum on Diagnosis and Intervention of Fetal Cardiac Malformations focused on prenatal screening and diagnosis of fetal cardiac malformations, imaging assessment, in-utero intervention and integrated postnatal management — an influential platform in the field of fetal cardiovascular medicine in China.

Prof. Hao Zhang was invited to speak at the forum. Drawing on the lab’s research experience in fetal and pediatric cardiovascular care, he shared perspectives on early intervention and life-course management of fetal cardiovascular disease, and had in-depth exchanges with experts on related clinical and research topics.

The Great Wall International Congress of Cardiology (GW-ICC) is a widely influential cardiovascular academic gathering in the Asia-Pacific region. Held alongside the Asian Heart Society Congress (AHS 2025), it covered basic research, clinical care and the prevention and rehabilitation of cardiovascular disease.

The lab team attended the congress and carried out academic exchange at the exhibition area, sharing the latest progress in pediatric cardiovascular care and research with colleagues across China and the Asia-Pacific region, while learning from peers at home and abroad — broadening both horizons and collaborations.

The Annual Congress of the Chinese Society of Pediatric Surgery is one of the largest academic meetings in pediatric surgery in China. This year’s ACFS 2025 was held together with the 14th Symposium for Young and Mid-career Pediatric Surgeons, bringing together experts and young scholars from across the country.

Prof. Hao Zhang attended the congress and delivered a talk, sharing research findings on the latest progress in pediatric cardiovascular surgery and congenital heart disease care, and discussing gaps, standardized management and talent development with peers nationwide.

The 5th Annual Meeting of the Asian Association for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (AAPCHS 2025) focused on the clinical and research frontiers in pediatric cardiology and congenital heart surgery, bringing together many experts and young clinicians in pediatric cardiac care from across the Asia-Pacific region.

The lab team attended the meeting and took part in scientific sessions, presenting the lab’s progress in congenital heart disease care and basic research, and discussing multicenter collaboration, technology diffusion and the training of young talent with regional peers.

The Oriental Congress of Cardiovascular Surgery (OCCS) is an important academic platform in cardiovascular surgery in China. This 8th edition brought together cardiovascular surgeons from across the country to discuss technical innovation, perioperative management and clinical research in cardiac and great-vessel surgery.

Prof. Hao Zhang was invited to attend and deliver a talk. Drawing on the lab’s research and practice in pediatric cardiovascular surgery and congenital heart disease care, he shared clinical experience and research insights, and exchanged ideas with colleagues at the congress.

Led by Prof. Hao Zhang and based at Shanghai Children’s Medical Center, the lab focuses on the clinical and basic research of pediatric cardiovascular disease. It brings together researchers with clinical, basic science and engineering backgrounds to conduct systematic research on congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension and cardiovascular tissue engineering.

The lab is committed to innovation and translation in pediatric cardiovascular care.
