Guided by the core clinical questions of pediatric cardiovascular disease, the lab conducts systematic research from molecular mechanisms to clinical translation across three directions: congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension and cardiovascular tissue engineering.

We investigate myocardial adaptation, injury and recovery across congenital and advanced heart disease, translating metabolic and mechanobiological discoveries into cardioprotective, regenerative and systems-of-care strategies spanning surgery, mechanical support and transplantation.

We combine multi-omics, disease models, artificial intelligence and clinical investigation to define pulmonary vascular disease and right ventricular failure, and to develop mechanism-based targets, quantitative diagnostics and accessible interventions for children with pulmonary hypertension.

We are committed to advancing cardiovascular regenerative medicine, focusing on the development of innovative cardiac patches for injury repair and anti-adhesion, advanced heart valves, and novel cardiovascular stents, aiming to restore cardiac function, improve hemodynamics, and ultimately enhance the prognosis.
