Detailed Introduction
Our primary research goal is to address key challenges in cardiovascular health through the development of advanced biomaterials and engineering solutions. We focus on three core areas: the creation of novel cardiac patches for injury repair and anti-adhesion, the development of advanced heart valves, and innovative cardiovascular stents.
Cardiac patches are crucial for treating myocardial injuries, and our work involves designing patches for cardiac repair and the prevention of postoperative adhesions. Heart valve diseases necessitate advanced replacement solutions: we are dedicated to engineering durable and biocompatible heart valves that mimic the mechanical properties of natural valves and reduce complications such as calcification and thrombosis. In parallel, our research on cardiovascular stents focuses on developing next-generation devices with superior biocompatibility and biomechanical properties to effectively restore and maintain vascular patency.
By integrating principles from materials science, cell biology, molecular biology, clinical medicine and regenerative medicine, our ultimate goal is to translate these advancements into clinical applications, offering novel strategies to restore cardiac function, minimize complications and significantly improve the quality of life for patients.
